too much material in a few places

I'm 5'3" with a small frame but more athletic legs (not skinny) and I ordered the smallest size available - XS petite. The material and style seemed great, but just too big in numerous areas: too long, waist too big and the biggest problem was too long from the waist to the crotch (the "rise"), which created a very unflattering sag at my crotch. These are going back. I also ordered the Duralite Stella which were much more form fitting/tight - also too long but they are not petite, so I'm OK with that. I'm going to be able to hem those and keep them. In summary - if you are under 5'3" and small framed, the McKenna's are probably not the leggings for you.

Warm, soft, perfect pockets, substantial weight. As soon as they’re back in stock, this New Englander will get another pair. I’m 5’3”, 28.5-29” inseam, and apple-bodied. The PL fit perfectly.
