Merino Wool Tops are the warmest, best looking thermal underwear on the market today.
Our Woolx X502 merino wool thermal underwear top is the perfect thermal top to wear while you are active outside. Made from a heavier fabric than our Woolx lightweight merino wool tops, this is the perfect base layer piece to wear under a snowmobile jacket or a ski jacket. When you are heading down the Black Diamond Ski Slope out in Park City, UT you will have the range of motion you need because this is not a heavy material, but it will keep you extremely warm.
Our merino wool tops feels just like cashmere and are completely itch free, guaranteed. If for any reason you can't wear our wool because you think it itches, just return it with no issues.
The stylish look of our merino wool top means it can be worn as a regular shirt or a thermal piece. Unlike many other thermal wear brands Woolx apparel is designed with looks and performance in mind.
Comfort, warmth, style and functionality are the properties that go into every one of our garments making Woolx the obvious choice for thermal wear.

Are your products %100 wool? Or are they a blend with synthetic fibers?
Hi and thanks for your inquiry. All of our men’s clothing and base layer, including the Explorer Crew, are made from 100% merino wool. Our socks and hats are a blend of merino and synthetics. And we do carry a few women’s items that are not 100% merino, including the Anna and Rory midweights, as well as a couple of tanks and the capris bottoms. All other items are 100% merino wool. The fabric information for all items is described in the product information on the product page.
What is the color of the woolx logo on the sleeve?
The Woolx logo is now embroidered in a very subtle tone on tone color (black on black, blue on blue, etc.) right along where the cuff attaches to the sleeve. It’s definitely not a big, bold logo; you really have to be looking right at it to notice it at all.
I can't tell the difference between the iceberg navy and the mariner blue. can you please describe them
The Iceberg Navy color is a dark navy blue background with thin light blue pinstripes that are set about an inch apart. While the Mariner Blue is a solid dark navy color.
Men's Explorer Long Sleeve Crew 230 Midweight Should this type of shirt be snug? will it be less effective if its worn more on the baggy side?
Our Explorer Crew Necks are designed to have a slim base layer fit to be worn right next to the body. This allows you to comfortably layer over them without any added bulk or bunching. If you size up you will get a baggier fit, this will not effect the warmth or other performance features of merino wool. They work equally well when worn close to the body as when they are a bit looser. We also have another style crew neck in the same 230g weight called our X506 Everyday Crew. These are designed to have a loose fit and to be worn as outerwear without needing to go up a size.
Does the inseam on your tops increase with sizes? I just bought the xl 230 weight long sleeve crew and feel like its length is going to be a issue. Iâm considering trying the xxl to see if that helps...
The body length on our men’s X502 Explorer long sleeve increases by about an inch between sizes. The XXl is approximately 1 ¼” longer than the XL. This is measured from the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom hem. The back length on all sizes is one inch longer than in the front. We offer free exchanges on all items so it is no problem to send back your XL if you’d like to try the XXL.
