I was looking for a long-sleeved shirt that wouldn't immediately lead to pit stains or overheating, but that would keep me warm enough through the winter. I run really hot but like to layer (I live in the Pacific Northwest and spend a lot of time outside). I also wanted something that I could travel with that I could use for an entire weekend trip, reducing my horrendous over-packing tendencies. After tons of research I decided on this long sleeve and I will never look back! It is the perfect weight, looks really nice, and is softer than I expected. I typically have to change long sleeved shirts several times throughout the day due to sweat-factor, but I have worn this shirt at least 15 times in the few weeks I've had it and had no complaints or absolute dire need to wash it. I typically wash items after every wear, but I have only needed to wash this shirt 3 times. I followed the washing and drying instructions (lie flat to dry) and am so excited to be doing less laundry, saving resources (and time). I can wear it with just about anything and dress it up or down, or wear it out on a jog or hike. I typically agonize over L vs XL for tops and while I'm glad I went with the XL for a looser fit, I'd consider the L for a more snug fit if I planned to wear this as a base layer rather than a "stand alone" item. It seems to be holding up really nicely and I haven't noticed too much pilling or wear on any particular part of it. I'm excited to see how many different uses I can get out of it and how it holds up, but I feel like I've already gotten my moneys worth.
