The balaclava is soft, not itchy, and warm. I haven't had the opportunity to use it as we have had an unseasonably warm winter so far. I will look forward to wearing it in Lapland when I go chasing the northern lights next month. I am petite (small boned) so it is a little roomy for me. After my trip I will likely give the balaclava to my husband as it will fit his head size much better.

Head Warmer without Weight!
I plan to wear the Balaclava under my bike helmet. I’m confident it will work well to keep my head and face warm during the colder rides.
Since I haven’t used it yet, I gave a 4 star rating. It may very well change to a 5!

Too big, one size does not fit all
I asked customer service about the sizing for a smaller woman (I am 5'2) and they said "it depends", so not very helpful. It was showing up in the women's section for hats so I took a chance. It seems better fit for a man or larger woman I guess. It feels nice and I tested it outside and it felt like it was doing a good job blocking out wind and cold. I wish there was a smaller size available.

Overall this is comfortable. It’s a little bit looser than I expected but also not terrible since I have a lot of hair. I have yet to test it out on a windy day.
