Over all I like them. The fabric is nice. I fall between small and medium. I chose medium because I prefer a little loose rather than tight. I like the fit in the legs and booty. The waist is a little large and they ride down. But that’s what I get for preferring a looser fit.

Purchased the Ellie wide leg a year ago and loved them so much I decided to get the same pant in the straight leg, aka the Emerson. The new pants are poorly made and pill like crazy. I've washed them a few times vs the Ellie which I've worn and washed for two winters. The Emerson looks older and more worn out then the older Ellie pants. Super disappointed for such and expensive pant. Would not recommend. Photo shows the older pants in the back and the new pilling Emerson in the front.

Perfect for when you want something that’s not casual like leggings or joggers, but still want to be hella comfortable. I’d call this a three season fabric depending on how hot your body runs and what climate you’re in.

This is my 2nd pair. On both pair, one leg twists. This pair is 2 inches shorter than my first pair and when the leg twists it is super short. Otherwise they wear and wash well for travel

I like the fit and feel of the Emerson straight leg pants. I offered 3 stars because 1.) real back pockets would be great, 2.) when washed the material twisted badly, like a cheap T-shirt, and the leg hems were very twisted. I tried blocking them while damp and drying them, which helped only a little, and 3.) The pants came seemed to wrinkle fairly easily when wearing them. They also came out of the washer (delicate cold water setting) quite wrinkled. They dried fairly wrinkled and will need to be lightly steamed before wearing. I expected more the price.

I have a black pair of Emerson’s in Med Long…. I wanted to try a new color but this grey didn’t come in long…. Thought I’d try it anyway as the longs are a bit o long ( in my black pair… good with boots but wanted another pair for around the house times.) Grey ones are a little too short! Anyway I am wearing them today and they are fine for chores and outdoor gardening.

I do love the straight leg styling of the Emerson pants and the heathered gray color is versatile. Not sure that the waist and rise fit me perfectly, but I am trying to get used to this fit. I would prefer that the Emerson pockets were smaller. It is a dressier looking pant and I like that feature.

I hadn't realized that the pockets were on- seam pockets; I thought they were slash pockets. Due to my shape being a bit hippy it sort of bulges, instead of laying flat across the stomach, so I had to return them.
The Emerson 'pants felt thick and I imagine they would be quite warm, which would be wonderful for fall through spring!

I had to take them for hemming that cost a bundle on top of the cost for very nice pants. I was traveling after I bought them and rotated them daily with 2 other pairs of pants.I was disappointed that they really didn’t hold their shape well and stretched so seat and crotch drop too much. Then I had to launder them and following instructions I washed and dried (1 pair ; I hung) and the seams rolled/curled and didn’t maintain that nice flat seam that lends to a smooth look. I have tried pressing and that hasn’t yielded great results. They just look lumpy. I feel that I spent far too much on 2 pair of pants that will be relegated to the yard work drawer. The fabric is so nice but they are just a disappointment. I might try the leggings but I have to get over my disappointment with these pants. Thanks! I didnt make this review for any other consumption than for the Woolx company. It is my belief that when one has a problem with a product; one takes the problem to the business. Nobody wins when you just bash the company.

I love these pants. I would love them more if the grey was a slightly darker shade and had rear pockets instead of front pockets. But I love how these pants look and feel on and wear them all the time. They go with almost every thing I own!

The fabric is brilliant. It’s toasty, and feels fab against the skin.
But the design has significant flaws. The waistband is bulky, the side pockets bow out unflatteringly, and those goofy, useless, ill-advised fake back pocket welts interrupt the smooth line of the bum, and look absurd and deformed under anything but the heaviest and loosest sweater or jacket. Under the nice weighty Blair tunic…fuggetaboutit… Looked like I’d tried to hide two harmonicas in my back pockets. My mirror said “whoa girl, you’re not going out looking like that!”

These are my favorite work pants. They have a polished look, but feel like sweats. These are so comfortable that after a workday I can come home, lounge around in them, and wear them to bed and be perfectly comfortable. I wish these came in more colors in petite.

I wish the back pockets were actual pockets. I don’t want my phone to stretch the pocket and it’s better in photos. They’re soft and warm otherwise. I like the thicker waistband of Ellie better. Length is good. I like the straight leg as opposed to the wide leg of my Ellies.

These trousers are warm, and look like wool trousers, with a reasuring weight. They stretch though don’t look like they do, and are pulled on like leggings. They look dressy enough to wear to a symphony concert or the office. I’ve been comfortable wearing them in a windy, bracing fall day. The cinder melange color is subtle yet striking. This was a great purchase!

Overall I love these pants. The material is soft and stretchy. The pockets do not lay flat. I'm thinking they may lay flatter in the medium instead of the small. My concern is the waist would then be too large. Alll in all I am keeping them.
