Kathleen P.
I like these but wanted to love them. They are comfortable to wear even in hot weather but they kept rolling up on my legs and I found it really annoying
Ellen P.
Leg material is far thinner than the top material. Leg material rolled up and was very uncomfortable. Love their bras and bike shorts, do not recommend this item at all. Skip and get the bike shorts.
Jennifer M.
I love them but the legs do roll up when I walk.
Urszula T.
Not what I was looking for. The shaping effect is solid but I was really just looking for a comfortable pair of shorts to wear under skirts and dresses. The top goes pretty high and feels stiff and tight. The bottom rolls up quickly. By the end of my commute, the hem was at my panty line. I wish I had returned before wearing them because I probably won't wear them again.
Grace M.
The fit on the upper half was good and I like the feel of the fabric. However, it rolls up on the thighs, continuously. I've only worn them under a dress; perhaps they will stay in place better under slacks? I'm disappointed this purchase.
SUSAN M.
These fit well. I really do love them. The legs roll up a bit when wearing under a dress.
Jeanne J.
Loved the material and fit of these shorts so much, but they rode up and didn't stay put, which was a tiny bit disappointing, as I had to keep pulling them down to cover my upper thighs.
Jennifer P.
The legs ride up very quickly. I will investigate what sort of after market sticky stuff to apply to get them to stay down. They are not much use to me as they are. The one time I wore them the wool blend fabric seemed nice.
Jennifer R.
So disappointing. I was hoping the other reviews were wrong and this shapewear would work on my body. Sadly, like many other reviewers, the thigh sections just do not stay in place for me. Love the idea of merino wool shapewear over the typical synthetic options. Maybe they can go back into the lab and work on these.
Ann V.
These rolled up. Again and again. And I tried them on over underwear first and wore them around the house in an effort to make sure they’d be fine! I got to work the next day and it was just a battle all day tugging them down. Maybe just wearing them a bit stretched them enough to make them roll? I can’t imagine being in a larger or a smaller size - I really think they’re sized correctly, and I have normal proportions. Very expensive failure.
So bummed and I can’t return them. On the other hand, I’m an evangelist for the Finley jacket! Spend your wool dollars there.
Alejandra S.
It seems to be the same length in the front as in the back. The waist is ok, but the front legs roll up, so I bring the leg up to avoid it, which defeats the purpose because my thighs are up against each other in the extreme heat. I bought these to take them to Bayreuth for the Wagner festival. I regret having spent the almost $400 on four of them. I am kicking myself dor leaving my spanx home.
The idea is good, the execution leaves much to be desired. My bump is in the back, and the short legs go up in the back and roll up in the front because of it.
Emily W.
The inseam on the shapewear shorts is not long enough to be comfortable. Such a bummer as I did really like the top half of the the shapewear.
Carlin S.
I like the way these fit and look under clothes. I haven't had a chance to wear them an entire evening yet, so I can't speak to their behavior over several hours.
martina k.
I like material and snug. It’s high quality product and really served me well during my photoshoot. I don’t appreciate seams are on inner side so if I walk in it for extended period of time it’s scratching my inner thighs. Good for occasions but not for everyday wear.
Debi M.
I love all of the products I have purchased from WOOLX.
I travel so much around the world and go to some very humid places. I love wearing shapewear shorts, especially in merino wool, to keep me cool and comfortable.
Roberta S.
I wore these for the first time on a 90 degree day. No extra retained heat! Love them!
Dustin R.
Worn once so can’t return.
The legs rolled up all the time.
It would be nice if the compression came down a couple more inches to help with the memo belly.
Tara L.
Bunches down around my waist and bunches up on my legs. Very disappointing.
Jean-Marie M.
If I could, I would return both pair.
While I love that they are sweatproof, and I was not hot even though it’s 98° here, I was very disappointed that the legs didn’t stay down.
I was wearing them under a dress, and every time I sat down, and then stood up, the legs rolled up.
I am slim. My thighs are not heavy, so I don’t know if I needed longer leg length… Please advise.
Is there a way to return them?(I DID wear the black pair).

Soft fabric, great fit
Andrea L.
Great cut, fabrication. Fits well and flattering shape wear.
Kim P.
Have not worn these out yet, but from trying them on they are super comfy and lightweight!
Lauri M.
Thick and hot. Too hot for my climate. The garment rolls up on my legs and down on my belly. The fabric isn’t smooth and I don’t like how my dresses fall with them . Just didn’t work for me at all. I wish I didn’t try to wear them. I wouldn’t return an under garment since I wore it for a few hours.
Jennifer S.
Waist is great, but the inseam is too short for me.
Jean T.
the shorts are as described, and fit well.
carolyn m.
Game changer! Comfortable and breathable fabric great to wear in the hot humid weather. Enough compression to support the abdomen. Not uncomfortable like Spanx . In fact I’ll never wear spanx again!
Pam B.
Great fit, and wonderful quality!
Elaine G.
I am 5’2” 170lbs. This shapewear is not meant for short thick girls at all. When I tried them on they fit okay, but after wearing I found that the shorts kept ridding up, which resulted in thigh rubbing. The band kept ridding up my waist and the compression made my lower abdomen stick out even more. It defeats the two reasons I bought them. I wish I would have purchased the bike shorts.
Lauri M.
These are thick and too hot for under dresses in my climate. They are wool and therefore they are not smooth enough for fabric to fall over them seemless and smooth. They seemed to fit fine but roll at the legs and waste. I would return them if I hadn’t worn them the day they arrived. The quality is there. Love other wools products by not the shapeware short.
Sarah
The material its self if relatively comfortable, however it provides minimal compression to be called “shapewear”. Also, there is a weaved in “Woolx” on the front of the shorts that does not lie flat and shows through. If you wear these with anything form fitting, it gives a noticeable lump. I will be returning. If it werent for the “Woolx” on the front, I’d probably keep them.
Dayna E.
Soft fabric but they roll up instantly.
I wanted to love these because the fabric is incredibly soft, breathable, and comfortable around the waist. Unfortunately, the fit isn't right for my body type. While they fit nicely in the tummy, they are too loose on my thighs and roll up the second I start walking around. Since I bought them specifically for extra coverage to prevent chafing, they don't quite work for me.
Catherine C.
These fit great! Definitely smooths out the belly. My only disappointment is that the leg fabric rides up.
Cynthia R.
The shapeware seems good. It is comfortable. I had major abdominal surgery with a large incision right down the middle in my mid 30s. Now in my early 70s my belly seems more distorted by the large scar than it was in earlier years. My idea for the shapeware was to smooth that out under the drape of the WoolX dresses that I have. It does accomplish that but I see a line in the back where it ends by my bra. My husband says the dress looks better than without it so though not perfect, that would be a thumbs up.
Julie M.
Don’t like how it rolls at the waistline. Also feels too compressed overall. An expensive item that is not comfortable.
Tracey O.
I was a bit disappointed with this product as the material is very itchy. I am not sure that I can do anything to soften it up. The body shaping was good and the fabric was light, but not sure I could wear all day due to the itchiness of the fabric.
Catherine O.
The wool is so much more breathable and comfortable than synthetic. I love the shorts, but they might roll a little--I've only worn them twice so far.
In WoolX I've worn both a small and medium. I ordered the shapewear shorts in medium and I wonder if I'd have liked small better. But they're still pretty great!
Beth D.
Great addition to my merino wool collection.
HILLARIE
Initially they seemed to fit right for shapewear, snug on the Tummy but not too uncomfortable. They didn’t dig into my legs either, but I wonder now if they should be tighter on the thigh or looser. During my first all-day wear I was very letdown by how badly the legs rolled up on me. But I wore and sweat in them in the sweltering summer heat all day and couldn’t, in good concious, ask for a return after that. They were comfortable for the heat and humidity temperature regulation aspect so I’m still taking them on vacation with me, despite knowing I will be flashing them to people all through the UK as I fiddle with them constantly under my dresses. I wouldn’t buy again, though.
Lisa S.
Very nicely designed and constructed at the waist, and great fit at the right size (if you are in between sizes, can likely size down). The leg bands were not seamless enough for the clothes I intended - so sadly, I’ll be returning.
Barbara T.
I originally purchased size small at the suggestion of customer service. I was in between sizes. I was told they are very stretchy. This is true, however I ended up with muffin top. I exchanged for a medium and they are perfect.
KRISTEN F.
Great fabric totally don't notice it..great product
Diane B.
Horrible quality. I returned this shapewear the same day I received it. It's been 12 days and they have not even acknowledged my return, let alone processed my refund. I am so disappointed! I was really hopeful that this product would be high quality based on the price, so the old saying "you get what you pay for" does not apply here.
Courtney S.
I just received these and wore them for a few minutes around the house. I walked around, bent down, sat, squatted, all the things you might do in the day to day to test them out. After all of that, I have to say that these are just ok. I may return them. I haven’t quite decided yet. The fabric feels nice for the most part, but the waistband is kind of thick where you can see the edge under more form fitting clothes. It comes up high enough for me that I didn’t have an issue with it rolling down in the short time I had them on, but under the bust would have been better to make it less obvious and less likely to roll after a full day of moving around. They really need to be longer on the thighs as well. That is the real deal breaker for me. They’re not quite long enough to fully prevent the chub rub, and the seam rubbing against my thigh was bordering on painful. I really wanted to like these, but I just don’t. If they could at least make some that are longer on the thighs, maybe with a 9” inseam, I’d probably buy a few pairs.
SUSAN M.
I really love the color. It fits perfectly around my waist. The legs ride up and bunch up around the top of my legs. I would love for them to stay down like shorts. I wear a large. I think the medium would be to tight around my middle but may fit my legs better. Really do love the fabric.
Kimberly H.
Comfortable
Excellent fabric
Katlynn F.
I have been debating which anti-chafing shorts to get, especially after seeing ads for Thigh Society on Instagram constantly. However, after comparing the return policies and the descriptions of the products, I went with Woolx's shorts. I'm so glad I did! The waist band is wide so it doesn't dig in roll down. My only regret is that I didn't get a slightly longer pair. However, they do work great, especially on hot, humid days!
Denise D.
I wanted to love these, but honestly they were a little heavier than I hoped and, the big thing, the waist rolls down, which pretty much defeats the purpose.
Anne D.
I like the fit and the shape the shorts gives. However, the weight of the shorts is heavy. I did not take them on my trip to England because I was only taking 1 carry-on and I wanted to save on weight.
jackie c.
Great quality, but two high waisted for me.
Judy P.
Just right and comfy
Shannon F.
These shorts offer just the right amount of compression and really providing cooling in the sweaty climate of Florida. The only issue I have is the legs tend to roll after a few times wearing them. I added sock stop silicone to the hem and that has helped a lot. With the new Sienna skort having silicone I imagine more of the short designs will see it in the future, but for now I am happy with adding it myself.
Mary J.
the waistband kept rolling down when I sat down
Erin G.
I am 5’5”, fit but in menopause weight at 170lb. I chose medium and it fits well and is comfortable. But I’m missing the ‘helping to hold my stomach in’ feeling.
Galina S.
The bottom tends to roll up a bit as I walk and I have to adjust it and I wish it was 100% wool, otherwise, they’re stretchy and comfy.
Nikki T.
The concept of these shorts is genius, but they didn’t work for me. Unfortunately, if you wear an item, you can’t return it, so I was fortunate that a friend of mine was willing to purchase them from me after I wore these for a few hours one evening. Admittedly I am a bit short waisted, and the waistband would not stay up and kept rolling down, which defeats the purpose of a slim silhouette. Also the legs of the shorts, which were the perfect length, kept riding up. I’m 5’4” and 138 lbs. My friend, who bought them from me and loved them, is probably 5’6”; I don’t want to guesstimate her weight, but we wear similar sizes. I won’t purchase these again, but my friend already bought another pair from Woolx!
Maghan S.
Perhaps it was simply my body they didn’t work well for, but the Woolx advertising said, “no roll” and that was absolutely not the case for me. I swapped sizes once thinking I needed a smaller size for my compression, but neither pair gave very much compression at all, the lines and even stamped branding were visible beneath some garments and worst of all, they rolled up my thighs constantly. It was quite disappointing.
Nerissa D.
I need to wear compression for medical reasons and I love the breathable and comfort of WoolX fabric, so I was excited about these shapewear shorts. They are comfortable but have only mild compression. If you’re expecting a substitute for Spanx or Skims, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for breathable, gentle smoothing these may work for you.
Stacy S.
I wish I could send these back! I would give negative or zero stars. They don’t stay in place! They create rolls on my legs. I look worse wearing them, they do not produce a smooth line. I gave them another try today in a hot day in Boston under a dress. Terrible. Did not keep me cool and bunched. Worse $78 I ever spent. Shapewear needs to hold in place that is the whole point.
skylar a.
These shorts are great, just what I needed. Good fit and perfect under the sheer silk dress I’ll be wearing .
Terri B.
Perfect for summer! Love love. I like my shorts tight so I sized down. They are perfect. This is a start to new journey with merino!!! Woolx - Thank you!
Janette s.
The shorts write up into the growing area because they are not drafted well and also there isn’t anything like a silicone band to keep them on the thighs. This makes them essentially useless..
JULIE K.
Super comfortable, but the legs do roll up, and the control/shapewear aspect is only right around the wide waist. I would prefer more shapewear lower - to control the lower belly. Perhaps I needed to size down.
Lisa H.
Wool is my favorite fiber and this item did not disappoint.
Evie & bob J.
Smooth and comfy! Great under a skirt!
Karin B.
I like the material and it breathes well. I does roll up on the legs but not more than other brands. Wish it had more compression and elastic to keep the legs from riding up. Still feels better than other synthetic fabrics.
Anna R.
The first pair I ordered had a lump of thread in between the two front fabrics that I could see and feel when wearing, which I didn’t think was acceptable for something that costs $100, so I exchanged them for a different pair. The second pair also had something similar where the logo is sewn on, so I figured that was the best I was going to get. I don’t wear skin tight clothing so it won’t really be an issue for me, but if someone were to wear a tight fitting dress over it, you would definitely see the small lump. Otherwise they are exactly what I was looking for!
Maddie Z.
They are very itchy and expensive.
Patty L.
I have not yet worn the shapewear so hard to give a complete review. It appears that it will be a good product- nice material that is not too much compression but do smooth out some bumps! I got a dress in a mystery bag that I was going to give away because it must have been a fitted item that I wasn't comfortable with plus it's shorter than I would wear so would want "shorts" beneath. I decided to try WoolXs shapewear since I liked the underwear - like I said, I think it'll work and looks trimmer over my abdomen. I am hoping their is no rolling at leg or waistband!
Beth L T.
I sized down as recommended by FB but still had them roll down in waist and up on the leg. Then I’m just screwed because they’ve been washed. Size chart needs to reflect measurements not just us sizing and needs to be updated to reflect accurate fit for shape wear to prevent rolling
Charlotte W.
Very form fitting, it held in place all day without getting hot. I wasn’t sure about spending such a high dollar amount at first, but I am happy with the investment.
Jeannine M.
I wanted to love these so much, but the legs roll up so much that I have to adjust them all day long. I wish they were just like the bike shorts but in the nude color! The material is amazing, and the compression around the belly is fantastic – but the design for the legs definitely needs improvement.
Leigh Y.
This is my favorite shapewear! It is comfortable on the hottest and coldest of days, and provides gentle shaping.
Stephanie W.
The tummy control panel is great! It smooths my figure and is very comfortable to wear. The height of the waistband is at a desirable level. However, I find the legs rise up as I wear them and they also tent to roll up. both of which are slightly uncomfortable.
Christine O.
These are light but supportive. Perfect under dress.
Anita C.
Quick delivery. Great product!
Elizabeth H.
Super comfortable, but legs ride up and bunch. Worked ok for a loose dress - fortunately - but overall not as usable as I had hoped
J
Really disappointed in these, especially considering how expensive they are. I’m typically between a medium and a large so I ordered the large. I tried them on and wore them around the house for a few minutes and they seemed fine. I decided to wear them under a skirt to do a trip into the city with a fair amount of walking. These rolled up on the legs and became so uncomfortable, all bunched up. It’s no wonder, the leg fabric is really thin and there’s just nothing keeping them from doing that.
Rachel C.
I like the way they feel, but sadly they are too large. Is there any way I could trade for a smaller size?
Heather P.
High-quality and fit well
Julia T.
Usually I'm 100% a Woolx fan. Love the shirts! This was a total bummer though. At first sight I loved that it managed my mommy tummy shelf...that bit of unmanageable stuff that mommies get just below the belly button that no one wants to look at but we all have (without surgery anyway.) So, I happily donned my shaper shorts under my favorite jersey skirt for the day. Ugh. The legs rolled up to my crotch, no matter how many times I pulled them back down. The top rolled down just enough to be annoying; but at least didn't leave weird lines like the rolled-up legs did. I spent the day tugging and disappointed that I had spent a good bit of $$, and now have an unreturnable product because it was worn. I'm sure this was not a sizing issue. I was between sizes, so I sized down. After trying it on, it was clear that if I bought it bigger, it would have offered no control. They really "feel" right...until I move and the shorts move too....in the wrong direction. The top was just the right bit of snugness, the legs were soft and surprisingly not snug...and I don't have skinny legs. They were breathable and not hot, just crazy rolly annoying. Next on my list is to negotiate what to do with this investment. Alas, it's not for me. Sorry, not sharing pictures of this mess!
Carrie A.
Great fit. Love the long length for under my dresses!
Angeles G.
It was very comfortable and fabric is breathable it has a good amount of wool !
Margaret R.
The shorts were not as expected
Barbara B.
The legs keep rolling up.
Susan A.
Great slip shorts. They will be so great during our hot summers under my dresses.
Karen L.
I wanted some shapewear shorts that didn’t roll down at the waist. Unfortunately these roll down just like all the others I’ve tried
Jennifer .
I bought these and tried them on after purchase and they fit (as I figured they would cause I ordered them in my current size) so I kept them. Fast forward to first day I wear them with a dress and I find that they ride up my legs every time I move -- sit, stand, squat, walk, etc. I have to readjust them constantly to the point that they no longer protect my inner thighs in the warm weather, which is what I bought them for. They ultimately end up feeling like an uncomfortable diaper rather than shapewear. Not a helpful purchase for me at all.
Germaine N.
They fit good around the waist but as the day went on the legs rolled up and it was not comfortable. I’d pull them down but they would just roll back up
Susan S.
The top refused to stay up - it slid down and dug into my sides. The legs rolled up and wedged themselves into some uncomfortable areas. I spent the whole day excusing myself to get them sorted. According to the measurements - and all previous purchases they are my size.
But this won't prevent me from ordering from Woolx again!
ERICA M.
Shockingly cool- keeps me from getting too hot!
Kathryn N.
I ordered Large because I don't like shape wear that is so tight that it constricts excessively. But according to the measurements, I am between a medium and a large. I think the large may make the leg portion creep up and the large fits but does not constrict enough, but it smooths. I know that I am in between. So, this may be the best fit I can do. I am large boned, even my doctor says that I am. It fits smoothly on hips and waist without excessive constriction and is perhaps a little loose in the legs.
Lorna H.
These were such a disappointment, they ride up so they’re useless to me! Even at the sale price it’s a lot of money wasted!
Jill M.
I tried them on, great. Washed on cold in a lingerie bag and air dried. First time wearing them yesterday u def a dress on a trip. Legs rolled up while walking. They were really annoying and seemed to create chafing not reduce. Very disappointing. Will be contacting Customer service for a return.
Wendi S.
I love these shorts. They are perfect for under my dresses. They help wick away any sweating and also keep my legs nice and cools. They are really comfortable as well. I will be buying more of these.
stacie t.
These are perfect- snug and smooth without rolling up, down or discomfort. A great layer for summer under dresses and lighter skirts.
Teresa T.
fits great, thanks for exchanging for the wrong size!
