My husband, who wears a size 12 to 13 shoe, found the XL to pull ever so slightly on his toes. Other than that, he loves the socks and said almost every pair of socks he’s ever had does the same thing to him. He likes the way they hug the arch offering support and they are a good length on his calf(he is 6‘3“). they wash beautifully in the machine.and I air dry them. They dry quickly.

This is my second purchase of these socks but in a different color. They're great every day socks. I prefer more cushioning for bitter cold days, but otherwise these are fine. After wearing another brand that are always too tight even in XL, it was a pleasure to find that large is true to size with these. I'm happy with my purchase.

I have owned quite a few pairs of these socks over the last few years. I love the feel of the wool, love the styling, and the socks are super comfortable.
The one negative with these socks, and it is unfortunately a big one, is that they don't hold up very well after repeated wearings. Sooner or later, every sock develops a hole in the ankle area, much more quickly than comparable socks from Darn Tough and Smartwool. So as much as I like these, I'm not sure that I'm going to buy more as these wear out. At about $28 per pair of socks, it's expensive to keep replacing them.

I've order these socks before and loved them. These appear to be the same style, but for some reason they feel a bit thinner than the others, including the navy pair I ordered at the same time. I don't know if the black wool is actually thinner, but it feels that way. They're still warm and keep my feel dry and blister free, but since they aren't as thick, they don't take up as much room in my shoes, so my feet slide around a bit (until they sew;; by the end of the day). Am I thrilled with them? No. Will I probably buy from Woolx again when I need more socks? Yes.
