King of Heavyweight Hoodies !

I now have both the Charcoal and Black Grizzly Hoodies. I’ve had the charcoal for over a year and absolutely loved it enough to get the black one this year. The brushed merino fleece interior is a fantastic insulator. The smooth exterior is extremely durable and doesn’t pill from daily use. The three panel hood surrounds your head so much better than a regular middle seam hood. The interior pocket is ready for headphone use. My favorite feature is the thumb holes that cover you hands in nice soft merino.

Amazing design and wool fabric

The attention to detail that went into this design is absolutely incredible. The bottom of it is all one length, and there's no elastic or shock cord there making it more of a stylish sweatshirt. I can still fold the bottom of the sweatshirt inward for when I'm wearing an outer shell, and the bottom will stay folded in so that it doesn't flop out from the bottom. Now, for windy and rain conditions, I still need an outer shell. But once I put that outer shell on and I'm using this as a mid-layer, the quality of this wool fabric is tightly loomed and dense such that it'll create that dead-air space inside my jacket for warmth. The zippers are sturdy and rugged, and the inner fleece layer is nice and soft. The hood is cinched by shock cord. Everybody's gonna be different on their temperature range, and I'm a lot more sensitive to cold temperatures than most guys, which is why I need a sweatshirt like this. I start feeling cold at around 72 degrees Fahrenheit if I'm in only a t-shirt. For me, if I only have a t-shirt on underneath, this sweatshirt will take me down to about 60 degrees Fahrenheit if there's no wind or rain. I have a thin outer shell with only one layer of fairly thin fabric (It's slightly thicker than a Frog Toggs lightweight rainsuit jacket), and if I wear that, it'll take me down to the high 40's. That's how good this sweatshirt works as a mid-layer. This sweatshirt broadens my ability to deal with large shifts in temperature without having to carry a lot of bulky jackets, and if I have to wear a bulky jacket for sub-freezing temperatures, I'd still have this on underneath. Put simply - this is a great sweatshirt. Highly recommended.

Robust sweater. Very warm. Seems like excellent quality.

I am 6’2” and Weigh 195. I got an xl and have plenty of room to layer underneath. If I wanted a trimmer fit a large would have been fine. Highly recommend! All my WoolX items are top shelf.
