I love these styles of ultra lightweight wool layers. The combination of versatility, comfort, and durability is unmatchable, in my opinion. There are a number of great brands out there, but of all such items I own, the WoolX garments are the best. The fit and look/texture of the material is amazing. I wish I could afford to buy 10 or so of these, because I'm afraid that I'll use what I have so much that I'll wear it out and then won't be able to get more. The thing that amazes me about these super lightweight wool layers is how they somehow manage to be cool enough to wear in very warm weather, yet also provide a modicum of warmth as the temps go down. It's ****** odd, and seems to defy physics, but okay. I've essentially stopped buying heavier weights for this reason. Just layer-up with the lightweights, appropriately, and combine with other insulation or shell protection, as needed. It's the perfect backpacking solution.
And speaking of outdoor pursuits, another thing I love about these garments is that they are stylish and good-looking enough to crossover to my work/social wardrobe with ease. The more items of this sort that I own, the more I find that my clothes don't really fit into particular categories of use-case -- I can just grab anything at all for almost any occasion, and it'll be right. WoolX is awesome and I will continue to be a customer. My only complaint is that I do wish they had just a couple additional styles and colors available. Oh, one other small detail that I absolutely love: they are one of the few companies that doesn't splash their giant logo all over the garment. I have no idea why some makers do that; for me, it's an automatic no-buy type situation, no matter how good the item is. So: thanks, WoolX (and please don't change).
