Sitting on a open deer stand in 30 degree weather in north Louisiana for several hours. I was wearing the Woolx base layer, jeans/long sleeve shirt and insulated camouflaged top and bottom for outer layer, never felt the cold. While 30 degrees might not be cold to my northern state neighbors add in the 100% humidity we have here most of the time and 30 is bone chilling. I worked in North Dakota 2 years and 30’F in the south feels like 10’F up there. As for motorcycle riding, 40 degrees is as cold as I’ve ridden so far and then had on base layer jeans shirt and insulated wind blocking riding jacket and pants, got a little cool after 45 miles making 70 MPH, it warmed up quickly to 55-60 on the road and I was comfortable. Bought them a size bigger expecting them to shrink some in washing, they haven’t, wish I had bought them exact size, so to fit tighter to my skin but they still perform better than expected.
