The Shirt I Wear More Than Anything Else

I’ll be straight with you: I designed a lot of tees before I got this one right. The Mia is the shirt I reach for more than anything else I’ve ever made. I wear it hiking, traveling, to dinner, on the school run, and half the time I’m wearing it on camera because it’s just that good. It’s been our best-selling product since day one and it’s not even close. I already know what you’re thinking. “Nicole, $85 for a t-shirt?” I get it. I’ve heard it thousands of times. Let me tell you exactly what you’re getting, and why almost every woman who buys one comes back for more colors.

01

It doesn’t feel like wool. At all.

If you’ve written off wool because of some scratchy sweater you wore in 2003, I completely understand. Most of the wool on the market deserves that reputation. The Mia is different. I designed it with ultra-fine Australian Merino, the finest, softest grade of wool on the planet, wrapped around a nylon and spandex core. The Merino gives you that next-level softness. The core gives you stretch, structure, and the durability to survive years of real wear and actual washing. The result is a tee so soft against your skin, you’ll genuinely forget its wool. Our Merino is non-mulesed, which means our sheep are raised humanely, without the painful and unnecessary cost-cutting practices that are still standard across most of the industry. That matters to us. A lot. We believe the quality of how an animal is raised shows up in the quality of what it produces, and we’ve never been willing to compromise on that.

“Hard to believe it’s wool! This will be my go-to summer tee.” — Robin G.

“It’s super soft and not itchy. And I love the fit.” — Laura B.

You can wear it four days without washing it. Yes, really.

I know that sounds like a marketing claim. It’s not. Merino wool is naturally antimicrobial, which means the fiber itself resists the odor-causing bacteria that cotton traps and holds onto. You can wear the Mia for multiple days in a row, in real heat, doing real things, and it won’t smell. Think about what that actually means. Fewer loads of laundry. Less wear and tear on the shirt. And if you’re traveling, you just cut your packing list in half. Our customers wear one Mia tee for an entire trip and never touch a hotel sink.

“I wore my Mia tees in very hot Sicily this summer and never needed to wash them.” — Catherine T.

“I wore this for 6 straight days in the woods, temps ranged from 28–95 degrees F. The shirt was everything promised.” — Katie S.

It keeps you cooler in the heat. I know how that sounds.

Wool in the summer sounds like the worst idea imaginable. I get it. I said the same thing. Here’s what actually happens. Merino isn’t the heavy, scratchy wool you’re picturing. It acts like a natural thermostat. When it’s hot, it wicks sweat away from your skin and lets it evaporate, instead of trapping it against your body the way cotton does. The more humid it gets, the better it performs. I’m serious. Kathleen K. wore hers in hot heat and humidity and felt good. She hung it up overnight, and it was ready to wear the next day with no odor. That’s not magic, that’s just Merino doing what it’s built to do. And the same Mia tee that keeps you cool in July keeps you warm layered under a jacket in November. One shirt. Every season. Every occasion.

“I was pleasantly surprised at how it kept me comfortable regardless of how hot I was!” — Donna S.

Your new favorite basic. Machine wash, tumble dry, done.

The Fit

The Mia has a classic v-neck that’s not too low and not too high, it just sits right. Raglan sleeves that drape without clinging. A regular fit that moves with your body without pulling or bunching. It’s the kind of tee that looks polished without trying, which is exactly what I was going for when I designed it. It comes in 11+ colors because I refuse to believe basics have to be boring. Once you find the fit, you’ll want more than one.

The Care

Here’s something I genuinely love about the Mia: you treat it like a normal shirt. Most premium wool brands will tell you to hand wash cold, lay flat to dry, never use the dryer, dry clean only. I personally don’t have time for that and I’m guessing you don’t either. Machine wash cold. Tumble dry low. That’s it. We engineered the Mia to be durable enough to live like a normal shirt, because a piece of clothing that needs a 12-step care routine is a piece of clothing you won’t actually wear. I wanted you to reach for this every single week, not save it for special occasions.

“As I slid this shirt on, the drape was perfect — it hugged my curves in the right places but still moved with my body without clinging.” — Elizabeth T.

5 Fair warning: you’re probably going to want more than one.

This is what always happens. You buy a Mia to try it. You wear it three times that week. You wash it once. And then you look at everything else in your closet and you realize nothing else feels this good. That’s when you come back for another color. And then maybe one more. I’ve heard some version of this story from thousands of customers and I still love it every time.
